The EU commission's examination of Volvo's acquisition of Scania continues

The EU Commission's examInation of Volvo's acquisition of Scania continues Based on an initial examination, the European Commission yesterday decided that an extended examination of Volvo's acquisition of Scania would be required. A final decision from the European Commission will be received by mid-March 2000 at the latest. Volvo will continue working with the Commission in order to ensure the speedy clearance of the Scania acquisition. More information on the offer to Scania's shareholders will be released shortly.
