Volvo

In February 6,807 Volvo trucks were delivered, a decrease of 17% compared with the same month last year.

In Europe 2,578 vehicles were delivered during February, down 16% compared with February 2012. This is a reflection of the relatively low order intake during second part of 2012 when truck customers in general were uncertain of the development of the European economy and thus delayed their decision to invest in new trucks.

February deliveries in North America decreased 40% to 1,426 vehicles in comparison with the same period in 2012.  The decrease was driven in part by the ongoing realignment of production to current industry demand that began in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Deliveries for South America increased 12% in February to 1,653 commercial vehicles.

In Brazil, infrastructure investments continue to positively impact the overall market and deliveries of Volvo trucks increased 18% to 1,370 trucks in February.
