Truck deliveries in July 2013

Deliveries from the Volvo Group’s truck operations in July 2013 amounted to 16,899 vehicles. This was an increase of 3% compared with the year-earlier month.

Volvo

In July 9,959 Volvo trucks were delivered, an increase of 20% compared with the same month last year.

In Europe 3,878 vehicles were delivered during July, up by 26% compared with July 2012. An extensive product renewal is under way with five new truck models; Volvo FH, Volvo FM, Volvo FMX, Volvo FE and Volvo FL. All the new models include innovations and features that make the driver’s job easier and more efficient.

July deliveries in North America decreased 1% to 2,350 vehicles in comparison with the same period last year.

July deliveries in Latin America increased 59% to 2,270 trucks compared with July 2012. Deliveries in Brazil increased 77% to 1,963 compared with the same period last year.

Deliveries for Mack in July totaled 1,715 vehicles, a 25% decrease compared with July 2012.

Renault Trucks

In July 3,632 trucks were delivered by Renault Trucks which was a decrease by 11% compared to a year ago. In Western Europe, deliveries increased by 1% due to good performance in the French market.

In June, Renault Trucks launched a completely new truck program, with four different truck series; the T-series for long haulage, the C-series for construction, the K-series for heavy construction and the D-series for distribution.
