volvo LARGEST TRUCK BRAND IN ENTIRE NORDIC REGION Volvo became the largest player in the heavy trucks market in the Nordic region in 2002. Volvo sold the most heavy trucks (more than 16 tons) in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. Volvo was also the largest Nordic brand for medium-heavy trucks (10-16 tons). During the past year, a total of 4,561 Volvo trucks in the heavy-truck class were registered and market share in the Nordic region increased from 36.4 to 38 percent, compared with 2001. During 2002, Volvo began to deliver a new model program, with three new models - the Volvo FH12, Volvo FM12 and Volvo FM9.
