Volvo scholarship for research on air pollution
The Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research will be awarding the scholarship for 2016 to Professor Louise Olsson at Chalmers University of Technology. Louise Olsson will receive the scholarship of SEK 250,000 for her extensive research on emission cleaning from vehicles using catalysis.
Professor Louise Olsson is Head of the Chemical Engineering division. She has received a number of prestigious awards and grants such as “Distinguishing young researcher” from the Swedish Research Council 2014.
The scholarship will be presented by the Håkan Frisinger Foundation at a seminar on Thursday May 11 at the Chalmerska Huset, Gothenburg. Please note that the seminar will be held entirely in Swedish.

Håkan Frisinger was CEO of Volvo in 1983–1987 and Chairman of the Board in 1997-1999. Nomination of recipients of the Frisinger scholarship is conducted by the Chalmers University of Technology and Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF). The decision about the scholarship is made by the Board of VREF.
