VOLVO TRUCKS' DELIVERIES JANUARY-JULY 1999 Volvo Trucks' deliveries up to July 1999 recorded a total of 48,641 units. Sales showed the following distribution: 1998 1999 Europe, total 23,426 24,581 +5 of which Western Europe 20,941 23,081 +10 Eastern Europe 2,485 1,500 - 40 North America 16,754 19,733 +18 South America 3,900 2,051 - 47 Asia 2,550 1,296 - 49 Other markets 1,180 980 - 17 Total 47,810 48,641 +2 From Volvo Trucks the deliveries up till July increased by two per cent compared with the same period last year. The demand for trucks within the company's most important market areas, Western Europe and North America, remained on a very high level. The deliveries from Volvo Trucks increased in both these regions while they decreased in the other areas. The order book was still on a high level.
