VOLVO TRUCKS' DELIVERIES JANUARY 2000 Volvo Trucks' deliveries during January 2000 recorded a total of 4,658 units. Sales showed the following distribution: 1999 2000 % Europe, total 2,958 2,704 -9 of which Western Europe 2,742 2,522 -8 Eastern Europe 216 182 -16 North America 2,317 1,552 -33 South America 330 147 -55 Asia - 158 Other markets 133 97 -27 Total 5,738 4,658 -19 The demand for heavy trucks in Western Europe remains strong. The order intake in North America is temporarily on a lower level. The activities in Eastern Europe, Asia and South America are now increasing from a low level. The order book totally has increased somewhat since the turn of the year.
