Volvo Trucks' deliveries January-August 1999

VOLVO TRUCKS' DELIVERIES JANUARY-AUGUST 1999 Volvo Trucks' deliveries up to August 1999 recorded a total of 54,236 units. Sales showed the following distribution: 1998 1999 % Europe, total 25,505 26,298 +3 of which Western Europe 22,749 24,629 +8 Eastern Europe 2,756 1,669 -39 North America 18,883 23,023 +22 South America 4,521 2,356 -48 Asia 2,747 1,396 -49 Other markets 1,304 1,163 -11 Total 52,960 54,236 +2 The deliveries from Volvo Trucks up to August increased totally by two per cent compared with the same period in 1998. In Western Europe and North America, together representing almost 90 per cent of the delivery volume, the demand was continuously strong. In the Far East there is a gradual increased activity from a low level. The order book was stable on a high level.
