VOLVO TRUCKS' DELIVERIES JANUARY-FEBRUARY 1999 Volvo Trucks' deliveries up to February 1999 recorded a total of 12,771 units, an increase of 3 per cent compared with the same period last year. Sales showed the following distribution: 1998 1999 Europe, total 5,834 6,871 +18 of which Western Europe 5,264 6,538 +24 Eastern Europe 570 333 -42 North America 4,433 4,860 +10 South America 1,081 598 -45 Asia 724 263 -64 Other markets 310 179 -42 Total 12,382 12,771 +3 Increased deliveries in Western Europe and North America compensated lower volumes in South America, Asia and Eastern Europe. The order intake was on a high level, although somewhat lower than the very high volumes during the same period last year.
