VOLVO TRUCKS' DELIVERIES JANUARY-MAY 1999 Volvo Trucks' deliveries up to May 1999 recorded a total of 33,653 units. Sales showed the following distribution: 1998 1999 % Europe, total 16,502 17,775 +8 of which Western Europe 14,868 16,941 +14 Eastern Europe 1,634 834 -49 North America 11,851 13,030 +10 South America 2,957 1,340 -55 Asia 1,796 854 -52 Other markets 899 654 -27 Total 34,005 33,653 -1 During the first five months the deliveries of Volvo trucks reached the same high level as in the same period the year before. The deliveries increased in Volvo Trucks' most important markets, Western Europe and North America, while there was a decrease in the rest of the markets. The order book was stable on a high level.
