VOLVO TRUCKS RECEIVES ORDER FOR 230 TRUCKS Volvo Trucks has signed an order with Hungarocamion, Hungary's largest haulage company, for 230 complete Volvo FH12 rigs with semi-trailers. Deliveries will begin at the end of February, with completion scheduled during the third quarter of this year. The order also includes trailers from Volvo Trucks' supplier Schmitz Cargobull. - This deal is strategically important to us for several reasons, explains Tom Jörning, who heads Volvo Trucks' sales operations in Eastern Europe. - The new agreement with Hungarocamion is a full-service contract, whereby we provide turn key transport solution with complete backup in the form of service and finance from our own service organisation. This brings many benefits for the haulage company, not least in terms of simplified ownership and administration. The fact that we were selected for such a strong solution in Hungary is all the more satisfying, continues Tom Jörning. For several years now, Volvo Trucks has been working systematically to build up a strong service and sales organisation in Eastern Europe - a process that has helped put Volvo Trucks into a market-leading position in this region. - Hungarocomion has long been a Volvo customer. The company currently has a fleet of 1100 vehicles, of which 600 are Volvo trucks. With this latest contract, we are further enhancing our position both on the Hungarian market and in Eastern Europe, concludes Tom Jörning.
