Volvo Trucks To Deliver New VN Trucks to Tyson Foods, Inc. Volvo Trucks North America, Inc., today announced that Tyson Foods, Inc. ordered 227 Volvo VNL670 highway tractors. The Tyson order is for the latest generation of VN trucks, introduced in August. The new VN design fully integrates with diesel engines conforming to stringent new U.S. emission standards to optimize vehicle performance and productivity. Delivery of the VN tractors begins in 2002, with 168 scheduled in the fourth quarter. The remainder will be delivered in early 2003. The trucks will be equipped with Cummins ISX engines. Tyson Foods, Springdale, AR, is the world leader in producing and marketing beef, pork, and chicken, with 2001 sales of $25 billion.
