    Have you ever been in a rush to get to work and your car won’t start?  No problem.  A new web and mobile service function, Commute Greener, now provides information on others in your area who travel the same route.  In addition, the application can also send a ride share request to allow you to quickly make other travel arrangements.     Mexico City gets cleaner air and a certificate to Commute Greener! by Volvo IT

    An innovative approach by the Mexico City authorities made it possible for employees to change their commuting pattern and reduce their carbon footprint by up to 40%. Using Commute Greener!, a web and mobile phone solution from Volvo IT, it is possible to significantly reduce congestion, lower CO2 emissions and create savings in terms of health, fuel costs and the environment.     In only 10 weeks, employees of the City of Gothenburg have succeeded in reducing their carbon emissions through changes in their commuting habits using Commute Greener, a new mobile phone and web application from Volvo IT.  One of the groups actually succeeded in reducing its carbon emissions by as much as two thirds.
