    Penske Truck Leasing orders 600 Volvo trucks

    The US-based transportation services provider Penske has ordered 600 Volvo VN670 tractors providing near-zero regulated emissions and improved fuel economy.With EPA2010-certified Volvo D13 engines and selective catalytic reduction (SCR), Penske has selected the cleanest-running diesel trucks available today that can deliver 5% better fuel economy than previous engines and a smaller carbon footprint for its customers.     Volvo Trucks receives order for 370 Volvo VNs from Knight Transportation

    Knight Transportation has placed an order for 370 Volvo VNs equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) emissions control technology. Volvo Trucks North America will begin deliveries of these trucks to the Phoenix-based fleet in April.Knight is a long-standing Volvo customer; about 3,000 of the 3,736 trucks in its fleet are Volvo VNs.     Volvo Group begins selling trucks that meet EPA2010 emissions standards

    AB Volvo’s North American subsidiary, Volvo Trucks North America, has begun selling vehicles that meet the new US emissions standards, EPA2010, which come into effect in 2010. The trucks meet the standards using SCR, Selective Catalytic Reduction, which also increases fuel efficiency and reduces carbon emissions.
