    Martin Lundstedt appointed President and CEO of the Volvo Group

    The Board of Directors of AB Volvo has decided to appoint Martin Lundstedt, 47, as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Volvo Group. Martin Lundstedt will assume his position in October 2015. His most recent role is as President and CEO of the Scania Group.     AB Volvo has signed an agreement under which the company is offered the opportunity to increase its shareholding in Deutz AG from 6.7% to just over 25% by acquiring a total of 22,117,693 shares from Same Deutz-Fahr Group at a price of EUR 5.88 per share. Completion of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of a number of conditions, including the approval of the relevant competition authorities.     The Volvo Group’s strong trend continued during the fourth quarter of 2011. Sales rose in all regions, profitability improved and cash flow was strong.  · In the fourth quarter net sales increased by 18% to SEK 86.5 billion (73.4). Adjusted for currency movements and acquired and divested units, sales increased by 20%.
