ABN AMRO Mellon wins E16 Billion Mandate From AP1 Första AP-Fonden, the First Swedish National Pension Fund (AP1), has today announced its decision to appoint ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services B.V. as its sole provider of Global Custody and related services. AP1 is the first buffer fund assigned by the Swedish Parliament (Riksdagen) to manage the Swedish people's pension funds. AP1 manages assets with a value of E16 Billion (SEK 148 billion). AP1's decision to appoint ABN AMRO Mellon, followed an extensive tendering and evaluation process. AP1 placed particular importance on selecting a Global Custodian who could provide quality services, a high degree of straight through processing and competitive pricing. ABN AMRO Mellon will provide CLS, Securities Lending and Trade Matching as well as custody services. The mandate covers AP1's total holdings, both domestic and non-Swedish.
