Luleå, Sweden – Oct 25, 2011 – Absilion today announced that the company is selected as one of the Swedish representatives to participate during a weeklong program called “Innovative Sweden” taking place in Silicon Valley. The selected companies are all successful and expanding start-up companies who will meet experienced entrepreneurs, international industry representatives and venture capitalist firms. The event takes place on Nov 2 at Stanford University.

Amazingly many great ideas come from Swedish inventors, such as the three point seat belt, the pacemaker and color graphics technology, as well as music streaming service Spotify.

It is now time for a new generation of innovations from Sweden to be discovered by an international audience. During Nov 2-9, the Swedish Institute will host an initiative called “Innovative Sweden” at Stanford University. As one of the selected companies, Absilion is participating at a pitching session where start-up companies will meet experienced entrepreneurs, international industry representatives and venture capitalist firms.

- The fact that we are one of the selected companies to get this unique opportunity is a confirmation that our innovative solutions are being recognized at an international level, says Mats Nordlund, CEO and co-founder of Absilion.

Absilion develops a cloud service, called Netrounds, which is aimed for customers looking to lower their operational costs of their IT infrastructure by using efficient tools for testing and monitoring. Netrounds was recently awarded for its IPTV solutions by TMC, one of the world's leading media companies.

- With a rapidly growing customer base, from large telecom operators such as Telenor Sweden to smaller companies, we are now expanding into the international market. The event in Silicon Valley is really a great chance for us to team up with other important players in the industry, Mr Nordlund continues.

About Absilion: Absilion is the developer of Netrounds, which is t the world's first professional cloud-based solution that combines testing and monitoring of IP networks, using ordinary PC hardware. Netrounds is used by about 100 network operators, enterprise IT departments and system integrators to lower their operational costs of their IT infrastructure. Since Netrounds is web-based and offered as a subscription, immediate rationalization can be done without any investments or contract periods.
