Sisener Ingenieros signs framework agreement with Absolicon to set up Production line for the Iberian Peninsula
Sisener Ingenieros has signed a framework agreement with Absolicon for the installation of a production line for the Absolicon T160 Solar collector in The Iberian Peninsula. Sisener is a company specialized in engineering and consultancy services in the field of energy, its infrastructures and circular economy projects. Sisener Ingenieros has in conjunction with the framework issued a bank guarantee for the subscription fee of € 150,000. The framework agreement prescribes the general principles for the separate agreements to be drawn up, and the steps to be taken before a binding agreement for the acquisition of the production line can be signed.
Market potential
The Iberian Peninsula covers e.g. Spain and Portugal and has many locations with high solar radiation. The potential market in the peninsula, for a production line producing Absolicon T160 Solar collector amounts to more than 5 million sqm, equivalent to more than 1 million solar collectors reducing near of 1,000,000 Tn of CO2 emissions in the industrial sector in the area when replacing the use of fossil fuel as energy source in the industry.
Sisener Ingenieros (Sisener) is a company specialized in in engineering and consultancy services in the field of energy, its infrastructures and circular economy projects, all developed by its more than 200 professionals. Sisener has experience in thermal energy from projects that can be applied to industries such as brewery, paper industry, mining, textile, tanning, cooling, district heating projects and power plants.
Absolicon and Sisener have signed a framework agreement for the establishment of a production line in the Iberian Peninsula to provide the region with advanced solar collectors.
The collaboration is based on the qualified experience of Sisener as engineering and consultancy service provider in the region. Sisener market will henceforth include regions previously handled by Avantiare Construcciones y Medioambiente, S.A.
The largest segments of Absolicon’s solar collector technology in the region are:
- Pulp & paper
- Food processing
- Chemicals
The framework agreement sets out overarching principles
The framework agreement prescribes the general principles for the separate agreements to be drawn up, and the steps to be taken before a binding Partnership Agreement for the acquisition of the production line can be signed. The total sales value covered by the Partnership Agreement is estimated at € 4-5 million plus an annual license fee at full production of € 4-500,000 and € 3-6 million sales of material. The framework agreement does not stipulate any binding minimum levels meaning that Sisener is obliged to order for a certain value. The estimated value of sales is subject to change as well as the definitive design of the production capacity of the production line.
Sisener has in conjunction with the framework issued a bank guarantee for the subscription fee of € 150,000 valid for a period of 6 months (with possible extension of 6 months).
Next steps
The cooperation is still at an early stage proceeding with online training and business development strategy. Following this, a more detailed contract will be drawn up and future payment will be made step by step.
