Acando is acquiring Deva Management Consulting strengthening its resources in Business Intelligence and Management Consulting. The acquisition gives Acando a leading position in Sweden with a strong base in the Stockholm market.

Deva has a staff of 20, with around half of them business consultants and the other half are specialised in BI-solutions.

“In our view, one of the crucial competitive advantages in business will be information management. A more accurate picture of the business situation than competitors have leads to better decisions – a major competitive advantage. With the acquisition of Deva Management Consulting, Acando strengthens its offer to its clients in identifying and implementing operational improvements through information technology”, says Lars Wollung, President of Acando AB.

“Deva sees the deal as a natural step in our development. We will capitalise better on our skills as a part of Acando than if we continued on our own. Acando will also give our consultants an excellent environment to continue developing their specialist expertise”, says Stelio Demark, Chairman of the Board of the Deva Group and principal shareholder in Deva Management Consulting.

Among Deva´s clients are H&M, ITT Flygt, Sandvik, Apoteket and Länsförsäkringar Stockholm. Deva is a silver partner with the SAS Institute and has cutting-edge competence on the SAS Institute’s solutions, especially CPM (Corporate Performance Management). In 2006, Deva had sales of SEK 27 million, and an operating profit of SEK 3 million.
