Acando Norway acquires Bitvis AS

The consulting company Acando acquires all shares in the Norwegian company Bitvis AS. The contract will be effective from October 1, 2017. Bitvis will operate as a separate company in the Acando Group.

Bitvis is a design center for FPGA and embedded software development. The company provides highly specialized development services to a broad range of customers from startups, to major companies in the electronics industry. The company was founded in 2012 and has gained a significant market position in Norway. Bitvis is involved in many prestigious projects within Space, Defense, Offshore, Telecommunications, Avionics, Radar systems, Multimedia devices, Industrial applications and Healthcare. Complementary to the design services, Bitvis also has developed unique tools, intellectual property, in the form of simulation software for FPGA verification.

Previously, Acando Norway has acquired the company E-vita AS in 2013, Cloudstep AS in 2014 and Antares in 2015. With the acquisition of Bitvis, and continued organic growth, Acando has grown to over 300 employees in Norway.
