Acando is opening a new company in Denmark, expanding its business activities into eight European countries. Three well-known people in the IT industry will get the company rolling. Anders Engdal will be the president of the Danish subsidiary. The goal is for Acando Denmark to have 10 to 15 highly qualified consultants on staff within the first 12 months, and to generate revenues in the tens of millions of kroner.

“We see a need for a Danish presence in our international work,” says Lars Wollung, President and CEO of Acando AB. “We aim to be a local partner, ensuring quick and flexible completion of assignments. The Copenhagen office will enhance Acando’s role as a leading IT and management consultant in Northern Europe.”

“The vision for Acando Denmark is to be one of the ten leading IT consulting companies,” says Anders Engdal, president of Acando Denmark. “A combination of great familiarity with local conditions and a strong sense of responsibility, along with the support of an efficient nearshore organisation, will ensure this. Acando Denmark focuses on proximity to customers, allowing them to provide a complete portfolio of solutions.”

Acando AB will own 51 percent of the company and Webmedia Group will own 49 percent. Webmedia Group is a part of the Acando Group.
