Acando purchases IQ Consulting in the UK

Acando has signed an acquisition deal with IQ Consulting Ltd, a management and IT consulting firm based in Manchester in the UK. IQ Consulting has a staff of 15 and provides business and IT solutions for global clients in highly regulated sectors. The Managing Director of Acando UK will be the current managing director of IQ Consulting, Charles Halpin.

“This acquisition establishes our position in Europe’s largest IT services market. Furthermore it strengthens our position in the pharmaceutical, banking & finance client sectors as well as in the delivery field of content management” says Lars Wollung, CEO of Acando AB.

Acando has had an office in Manchester for several months, with consultants working on similar assignments as those at IQ Consulting. The two offices will be integrated, firmly enhancing Acando’s position in the UK.

In the latter half of 2006, IQ Consulting had a turnover of SEK 9 million and a net profit of 2 Million.
