AcandoFrontec is one of two suppliers to sign a strategically important agreement with Volvo IT for consulting services in the SAP area. The agreement makes AcandoFrontec a long-term supplier at the strategic level, covering an entire spectrum of competencies from business development to integration and technology. Since the late 1990’s, when the Volvo group decided to acquire the SAP system, AcandoFrontec has anticipated in a number of major projects. Among them was the implementation at Volvo Aero and a project in which Volvo, with the help of the SAP system, created a new global financial solution, the so-called CFP project. “The selection of AcandoFrontec by Volvo IT as one of just two suppliers for its future development clearly shows that we have succeeded in meeting its expectations thus far and that Volvo IT appreciates the way in which we provide process improvements in combination with IT,” says AcandoFrontec CEO Lars Wollung. “The agreement gives us the opportunity to further strengthen our position as a leading consulting company, especially in western Sweden. “In the dialogue we have daily with Volvo IT and AB Volvo’s product companies, we see a clear trend in which many units in the years ahead will be choosing solutions based on SAP modules, which could create a large volume of new projects,” he continues. For AcandoFrontec, the agreement means an immediate need to increase recruitments and intensify relationships with suitable companies that can work as subcontractors. The recently signed agreement with LogicaCMG is an example of projects that will also require internationally based consultants.
