Car consumers travelling from far and wide to Acklam Car Centre

Teeside, UK - Acklam Car Centre has released some interesting statistics regarding their annual sales, with a record 3,000 people using the car dealership’s expertise and services to purchase their car during 2014.

Of those 3,000 customers, over 40% of them travelled from outside the North East to make their purchase.

59% of Acklam Car Centre’s customers were based around Teeside in the North East; Scotland was the second highest region in terms of car sales with 15% coming from north of the border; 10% came from the North West, London and South East, whilst 2% purchased from either the South West, Midlands and Wales respectively.

Acklam Car Centre stocks high-end, second hand cars and Chris Andrews of the dealership believes that UK consumers are willing to shop around and travel – sometimes the length of the country – to save money when buying a car.

BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Land Rover formed Acklam’s top four selling manufactures for 2014, whilst the company also sold 13 supercars, including six Aston Martins.

Chris explained that the dealership’s excellent value for money on high quality cars has seen the company experience a surge in consumers from outside of the North East over the last 12 months, as car buyers strived to find the best deal.

“2014 has been another good year for us with one of the most noticeable changes been the widening of our client base,” Chris said.

“Consumers are becoming increasingly savvier and when it comes to buying a car there are so many ways and places to purchase from. A lot of our stock tends to be cars aged between 2-4 years-old and customers will travel for afar if they can get a good deal.

“I think it goes to show that Acklam Car Centre’s excellent value for money and car buying experience from the moment a customer steps through the door to the second we hand over the keys, is really second-to-none.”
