The internationally renowned sustainabilityratings provider EcoVadis has awarded Adapteo a Gold medal for its commitments and outstanding performance; meaning Adapteo now joins the top 5% of all assessed companies globally.

This is Adapteo Group’s first EcoVadis assessment, and reaching Gold status proves that having sustainability at the heart of our business is paying off, says Lina K Wiles, Chief Sustainability Officer at Adapteo Group.

Adapteo offers flexible, moveable, modular buildings for social infrastructure needs, such as schools, daycares, offices, and accommodation and is the leading provider in Northern Europe.

EcoVadis is commonly regarded as the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. With more than 100.000 companies from all sectors rated globally, it sets the standard for business sustainability ratings. The purpose of EcoVadis is to speed up business transformation by providing a comprehensive, international benchmark of best practice.

The EcoVadis Gold Medal confirms our commitment and performance in socially and environmentally responsible business practices, where we want to lead and shape our industry. Sustainability is embedded into our core and purpose and this rating gives us, our customers, and partners additional confidence in our sustainability performance as the leading provider in the industry says Johanna Persson, President and CEO of Adapteo Group.

The EcoVadis rating provides an evidence-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement. Adapteo’s business model, with adaptable and reusable buildings, is circular by design.

We have a massive advantage by providing a circular business solution to help our customers with their space needs. And to be fully circular - from renewable and sustainable raw materials to an everlasting afterlife of the products which we have committed to in our sustainability targets - we need to keep evolving. The EcoVadis assessment gives us a good roadmap for further improvements as it clarifies our current position and guides the prioritization over the coming years, says Lina K Wiles.

The Ecovadis assessment is based on UN Global Compact’s Ten principles, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 tandard. It evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
