Adapteo has now joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative
Adapteo has applied and been accepted to the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the United Nations Global Compact.
Participation is voluntary and all companies applying are committing to implementing the sustainability principles of the United Nations Global Compact. These are based on several UN declarations, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development. Their content is summarised in ten principles, regarding the topics of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. Already today, these are important questions for Adapteo’s business and sustainability strategy. Therefore, committing to the United Nations Global Compact initiative was a natural next step.
In total, there are over 12,000 companies in over 160 countries that participate in the United Nations Global Compact. Adapteo is joining their ranks by becoming a signatory, a little over a year after becoming an independent and listed company in 2019, and the commitment fits well into the continued development of its sustainability strategy.
