Business area Addtech Equipment has concluded an agreement to acquire all shares outstanding in BTC Industribatterier AB. The company has annual sales of approximately MSEK 20 with good profitability.

 

BTC Industribatterier markets stationary batteries for emergency power for base stations in the telecom sector and for the UPS and energy markets in Sweden.

 

-    With the acquisition of BTC, our product portfolio of batteries for industrial applications becomes complete and we are expecting to be able to expand BTC's activities to the other Nordic markets, says Addtech Equipment's business area manager, Åke Darfeldt.    

 

The acquisition is expected to have a positive impact on Addtech's earnings per share from the day of taking possession, which is expected to be October 1, 2004.
