Report this content

Addtech Components, a business area in the Addtech Group, has concluded an agreement to acquire all shares outstanding in Specma Drives AB. Seller is Specma AB, a company in the Latour Group.

Specma Drives designs and markets electro-mechanical drive systems intended for selected and demanding applications. The company had revenues of MSEK 40 during 2005.

The acquisition complements the businesses in Addtech Components that sell and develop customised sub-systems and solutions for medical equipment, special vehicles and machinery builders. The intention is to retain Specma Drives as an independent unit in the Addtech Group.

The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive effect on Addtech's earnings per share during the current financial year. Closing is expected to take place 1 October 2006.
