The Carbex Group conducts manufacturing and sales of electrical brushes and electromechanical components for electric and signal transmission. Important market segments where the products are used include the energy and medical technology sectors.

 

Sales and production for the Swedish and international markets are conducted from the group's location in Vadstena.

 

-       Effective manufacturing combined with dealing in customized products, a European sales base and competence in OEM as well as aftermarket sales are strengths found in Addtech as well as Carbex. When Carbex becomes a part of the Addtech Group, we see excellent opportunities of spurring the growth in Carbex, says Roger Bergqvist, Addtech's President.

 

The acquisition, which is expected to have a positive impact on Addtech's earnings per share from the time of taking possession, will be paid for, in part, by conveyance of 100 000 class B shares in Addtech AB. Possession is expected to be taken September 1, 2004.
