Adera's IT business to be divided up into two companies As a further part of the restructuring programme Adera announced in June Adera's IT business is now being divided up into two independent companies - Astrakan and OOPix. The owner of the two companies will be a holding company named Adera IT. Organizationally, Adera IT will operate directly under Adera AB. Adera IT's president will be Torbjörn Lindh, who will also is chairman of the company. Astrakan and OOPix were acquisitioned by Adera during an earlier phase of the latter's expansion. The objective was to bring together IT and communications knowledge in a single company. The objective now is to become more clear-cut in respect of a market whose buying behavior has changed greatly and set the focus for the business. The objective continues to be for the companies to collaborate where the customers so desire. 'To achieve success in this tough market, we must be clear about who we are and what we are doing', says Torbjörn Lindh, President and Chairman of Adera IT. 'We have evaluated the brands we have in Adera IT and OOPix and Astrakan has built very much on both when it comes to customer relations and culture'. The new Astrakan company will focus on IT related business development and education under the management of C-G Lövetoft. The company has offices at Drottninggatan and Gävlegatan in Stockholm, and Maskingatan in Gothenburg. OOPix will be concentrating on in-depth IT and change processes.
