Prize awarded to ESAB for best website The Federation of Danish Industries (Dansk Industri) has awarded its prize for best website to ESAB. The ESAB website was designed by Adera AB. The Federation of Danish Industries particularly praised the ESAB website's graphics and noted that, in addition to providing normal product information, the ESAB site assigns high priority to providing information about the company's environmental work and policy. In a voluminous information sector, ESAB shares the wealth of its 100 years of experience in the research and development of welding and cutting technology. The website also produces a fast response to any question it receives. Furthermore, interested visitors are given the opportunity to register themselves in the company mailing list for receiving news on a continuous basis from ESAB. Special reference was also made to the "Jobs at ESAB" section on the site, through which students can register their interest in obtaining practical working experience and other forms of cooperation with the company. "Currently, we are working on a password-protected section for our partners, through which we aim to provide a product trading service via the Internet," says Erik Rolvung, marketing manager at ESAB Denmark. The European site (ww.esab.com/europe) and the Nordic sites have been designed by Adera, which recently completed sites for ESAB in Germany and Austria. Before the end of the current year, all ESAB sales companies in Europe will have been provided with new Internet and extranet solutions based on Adera's layout.
