Bergen Energi Launches New Sustainability Energy Solutions

Energy experts at Bergen Energi are aiming to help tackle climate change after the firm expanded its offering to include an innovative new suite of sustainability solutions. The internally-developed green products and services, designed to deliver a complete end-to-end carbon reduction strategy, provide customers competitive and predictable energy costs with a measurable and low environmental impact. Product innovations include a bespoke carbon reporting, monitoring and targeting web tool which includes real-time price and consumption reporting, progress and data analysis. Customers will be able to capitalise on their investment by communicating sustainability successes through a dedicated energy and carbon market portal. They will also benefit from a new dedicated energy efficiency consultancy and a carbon reduction advisory service. John Daynes Bergen Energi’s Vice President for the UK and Ireland feels the time is right for the independent energy experts to launch an all-encompassing environmental offer, as companies increasingly recognise the extensive financial and reputational benefits of a strong sustainability strategy. He said he was convinced the expanded offering would cement the company’s reputation as the UK’s leading innovator in energy services. “The sustainability market is evolving. Environmental energy data management is becoming significantly more critical to a company’s bottom line. Many businesses see the opportunities of doing more around energy and carbon but fail to do so due to a lack of internal sustainability expertise,” he added. “Regulatory compliance reporting and supply chain pressures will only continue to increase and businesses need to make sure that they are in a position to execute and communicate an effective sustainability strategy to ensure they don’t come unstuck. “Without sustainability solutions in place businesses will find access to capital from green funds and indexes increasingly difficult and may even miss out on customers to which a proven strategy is crucial. They also run the risk of failing to comply with schemes like the CRC and The EU Emissions Trading System.” Bergen Energi’s new sustainability solutions focus on carbon measurement, control and reporting in line with the customer’s legislative liabilities and ethical values. They use bespoke risk assessment and mitigation strategies to identify cost reduction and new revenue opportunities. Daynes added: “The need for real-time, transparent and auditable energy data is greater than ever. Businesses need a sustainability package that provides visibility and succinct easy to view data and analysis, so that they can take action. We have invested heavily in new technology for these services to ensure this is exactly what our customers will get.” -ENDS- Issued on behalf of Bergen Energi by Adessi For more information contact Beth at Adessi on Tel: +44 (0) 113 256 9999 Fax: +44 (0) 113 256 9989 Email: beth.leonard@adessi.co.uk Notes to Editors: • Bergen Energi UK based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, is one of the UK’s leading energy service providers.
