A new industry formula chemical inhibitor recently launched by ADEY Professional Heating Solutions is so far the first and only product of its kind to be given the seal of approval by the Energy Saving Trust (EST).

ADEY's MC1 Protector is now certified as Energy Saving Trust Recommended after meeting the highest standards of energy efficiency performance demanded by the Trust's product certification and labelling scheme. The Energy Saving Trust Recommended label is only given to products that can meet its strict criteria, highlighting the most energy efficient products on the market and raising their profile among consumers, installers, suppliers and retailers.

Stewart Muir, Assistant Certification Manager at Energy Saving Trust says: “We launched the Energy Saving Trust Recommended labelling scheme in 2001 to help those eager to use less energy, help the environment and save money on their energy bills, find the best possible products.  With our recent expansion into water treatment products, MC1 Protectoris the first chemical inhibitor to be recommended under the scheme and is recognised as being effective in improving the performance of central heating systems, making them more efficient and therefore reducing heating bills.”

Kelvin Stevens, managing director at ADEY, says: “As the pioneers of magnetic filtration, we understand the benefits a well-maintained central heating system can bring for householders. Our new range of chemicals has been designed specifically for use with magnetic filters, further enhancing the level of maintenance and protection we can provide for central heating systems.

“The Energy Saving Trust Recommended scheme will give householders confidence to choose the most effective products available. It will also enable heating installers to reassure their customers about the green credentials and benefits of the products they use.”

ADEY’s new MC1 Protector is proven to provide 50% more effective corrosion control than the standard set by BuildCert on all metals tested including aluminium.
