MagnaClean charms escaped snake

An escaped snake sought refuge coiled round a MagnaClean® filter in Bournemouth this week.

Having spotted the unwelcome visitor on her kitchen work surface before it slithered off, distressed 27 year-old health care assistant Vaida Maia and her husband then spent two nervous days and nights trying to track the reptile down.

The snake was eventually discovered beneath the boiler wrapped around one of ADEY’s domestic filters which are designed to protect central heating systems from black magnetite sludge.

The incident created headlines in the local Bournemouth Echo and a string of online comments from readers keen to offer their views.

An RSPCA officer eventually came to the rescue and safely recovered the harmless corn snake which it’s believed escaped from a neighbour.

Marketing and Communications Director Haimish Mead said it was a first for ADEY. 'This is obviously an intelligent species of snake. MagnaClean is the No.1 filter when it comes to protecting central heating systems and this particular snake instinctively knew where it would be warm, safe and out of harm’s way.'
