Case History - Sunderland Aquatic Centre

Sunderland's newest and most ambitious regeneration project Sunderland Aquatic Centre opened to the public on 18 April 2008. This was the regions first 50m pool and the only facility of its type between Leeds and Edinburgh. After being open for only 4 years the tiles surrounding the pool became noticeably slippery when wet. 

Advance Group were engaged to carry out a full investigation to determine the reason why this had occurred and make practical recommendations to the council to remedy  the situation so as not to put any members of the public at risk from a slip related injury.
