Award-Winning City Tours Announces 2014 Schedule
Award-Winning City Tours, in collaboration with Gray Line Tours Minnesota, has announced the 2014 Twin Cities public tour season schedule.
Serving more than 4,000 riders each year and known for their knowledgeable, well-trained and friendly guides, Award-Winning City Tours offers premiere city tours of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.
The tour offerings include Twin City Highlights, the Minneapolis Tour & Mississippi River Cruise, Stillwater Tour & St. Croix River Cruise and the Holiday Lights Tour.
The Twin City Highlights tour showcases historic sites and local attractions from Minneapolis to St. Paul. This three-hour long tour includes brief stops at Minnehaha Falls and Guthrie Theater (weather permitting).
2014 Twin City Highlight Tour Information:
RATES: Adults $37; Seniors (55+) $35; Students (13-21) $30; Children (6-12) $27*
* Children 5 and under are free when not occupying a paid seat.
Twin Cities Highlight Tour Dates:
- March 8 - April 26, 2014 (Saturdays only)
- May 2 - June 15, 2014 (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays)
- June 16 - August 17, 2014 Daily (Every day except Thursdays and no tour July 4)
- August 22 - 31, 2014 (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays)
- September 3 - 28, 2014 (Wednesdays through Sundays)
- October 4 - November 15, 2014 (Saturdays)
The Minneapolis Tour & Mississippi River Cruise begins with a tour of city lakes and Minneapolis landmarks aboard a motorcoach and concludes with a cruise on the Mississippi River aboard a replica of a historic sternwheeler. The six-hour tour includes a short stop at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (weather permitting) and a stop along Nicollet Mall at the Farmers Market where sightseers can have lunch.

* Children 2 and under are free when not occupying a paid seat. Tours are available June 19 – Aug. 14, 2014 (Thursdays only).
The Stillwater Tour & St. Croix River Cruise showcases the river town of Stillwater, with a paddlewheel riverboat cruise that includes a buffet meal. Tours are available in 2014 on Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, and 18.

In addition to these tours, Award Winning City Tours offers a Holiday Lights Tour through the cities. Live commentary is provided during the tour including residential lights and historic holiday traditions aboard a motorcoach. Tours are available Dec. 6, 13 and 20, 2014.
