Feb. 5th, 2018, Taipei—Advantech, a leader of the global industrial computing market, is pleased to announce the release of the latest ROM-7510 Qseven module. The ROM-7510 is powered by TI’s AM5728, consisting of dual Arm® Cortex®-A15 microprocessors and dual TI C66x™ DSP processors, enabling high computing processing capability, accelerated multimedia, and industrial communication. The newly launched ROM-7510 computer-on-module complies with standard Qseven 2.0 and 2.1 form factors, and its many interfaces also support a range of connections. These features make the ROM-7510 ideal for applications in machine vision, human machine interfaces, medical imaging, and more.

High Performance Platform for Advanced Applications

By utilizing TI’s newest AM5728 processor, the ROM-7510 delivers up to 1.5 GHz of computing power to meet intense processing needs. Furthermore, the ROM-7510 delivers high-level analytics and real-time computation with the AM5758’s integrated C66x™ DSPs and dual Arm® Cortex®-M4 cores. The ROM-7510’s superior multimedia performance is achieved with its 1080p60 video accelerator and HD video playback for multiple displays. Additionally, the ROM-7510 builds on the standard 70 x 70-mm Qseven form factor, making it easy to integrate into systems with space limitations. It is also compliant with both the Qseven 2.0 and 2.1 spec, making for painless product updates. The ROM-7510 features multiple I/Os, namely 1 x LVDS, 1 x HDMI, 1 x USB 2.0 OTG, 4 x USB 2.0 HOST, 1 x USB 3.0, 2 x UART, 1 x CAN, 1 x SATA, 2 x I2C, 1 x I2S, 2 x PCIE x1, and 1 x LAN. These provide a rich range of connections for data handling, networking, and peripheral support. Finally, the available corresponding carrier board, the ROM-DB7502, makes evaluation of ROM-7510 easy and efficient. 

Complete Software Support Services

The ROM-7510 supports both Yocto 4.1 (kernel 4.4.19, QT-5.6.1) and Android 6.0 (kernel 4.4), and provides a complete board support package (BSP) to help users develop their own applications. Furthermore, the ROM-7510 comes with Advantech’s WISE-PaaS/RMM and WISE-PaaS/OTA, which are Advantech’s PaaS software for remote monitoring and management with over-the-air updates. Relevant technical documentation, reference design guides, and after-service support are all provided by our dedicated team, who are committed to assisting with the implementation of the ROM-7510 and the development of new applications on this module.
