New success in critical infrastructure for Advenica - energy company places order worth MSEK 4
Advenica continues to grow within critical infrastructure. The Swedish provider of cybersecurity solutions deepens its cooperation with one of Sweden's larger energy companies. The newly signed agreement includes products and services allowing the customer to rapidly reinforce protection and be better prepared for compliance with GDPR, NIS and the upcoming Swedish security protection legislation.
Cooperation commenced late 2017 when Advenica and the energy company reviewed the information security of the company. This initial work led to the customer taking the next step to significantly reduce external and internal cybersecurity risks.
The new order includes services and products that make it possible to protect critical operations by ensuring the integrity of the subsystems without waiving modern communication possibilities. The order value is nearly MSEK 4. Delivery will take place during 2018, with main emphasis Q1 and Q2.
When Advenica's delivery is completed, the energy company will have improved control over the IT environment and be well-prepared to meet the upcoming regulatory requirements for information security.
Energy production and distribution is one of many operations affected by both GDPR and the NIS Directive, introduced in May this year, as well as by the new Swedish security protection legislation, which will be introduced on April 1, 2019. The regulations require systematic and risk-based analysis, as well as preventive security measures.
