Advocate Health Care has been ranked #5 in the Top 100 Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) by IMS Health.

IMS, a Connecticut-based information services and technology company, said the top IDNs have a strong focus on care quality and health outcomes while reducing costs, as traditional delivery and payment models require new approaches. These IDNs are “beginning to reshape the way care is provided and treatment decisions are made,” IMS said.

The Top 100 IDN ranking is based on a combination of therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes and mental health.

“We’re honored to be named among of this prestigious list of health care systems,” said Lee Sacks, MD, Advocate’s executive vice president and chief medical officer. "We believe focusing on care coordination, prevention, safety, early detection and education is critical to improving health outcomes and reducing costs. It also ensures our patients receive the right care, at the right time and at the right place."
