AFRY awarded owner’s engineer services assignment for a cogeneration power plant project in Thailand

Glow Energy Public Company Limited (Glow), a subsidiary of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC), has awarded AFRY with an owner’s engineer services assignment for the 200 MW Glow Energy Phase 2 Cogeneration Plant Replacement Project, in Rayong, Thailand.
The project consists of the demolition of the existing cogeneration plant and construction of two new gas-fired cogeneration blocks, each consisting of two gas turbines, two heat recovery steam generators and the balance-of-plant equipment. The plant will provide reliable and cost-competitive electricity and steam to industrial users in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, as well as electricity to the national power grid in Thailand.
AFRY's assignment includes assistance in project management, design review, site supervision services, quality assurance and control and commissioning supervision. The overall schedule for AFRY's services is about 28 months.
This is a continuation of AFRY's earlier assignment in the same project where AFRY has been involved as Owner’s Engineer during the development phase, providing technical advisory services for the project.
