AFRY is now launching spearhead advisory services in sustainability
As of April 1, AFRY offers dedicated cross industrial Management Consulting services in sustainability, to increase action and speed in the sustainability transition. The initial team of more than 50 sustainability management consultants will be backed by AFRY’s 19,000 experts with deep sector knowledge, supporting clients from strategy through to implementation.
AFRY has gathered experts from different parts of the business within a new Sustainability Consulting unit as part of AFRY Management Consulting to provide high level advisory and actionable solutions that go beyond reporting to ensure measurable impact and real change.
The team of sustainability consultants has a unique capability to support clients in their sustainable transition based on AFRY’s long history in industries such as energy, manufacturing, pulp, paper, packaging, wood products, forestry, renewable fuels, food and pharma, waste and circularity, future cities, automotive as well as mining and metals. The team will advise and partner with companies, governments and cities to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society.
The team of dedicated sustainability management consultants works in close collaboration with a network of over 1300 sustainability experts across AFRY to address challenges and opportunities along topics such as climate change, decarbonisation, circular economy, biodiversity, nature-based solutions, water challenges, and social responsibility through:
- Market analysis and research
- Sustainability strategy and reporting
- Sustainable transformation and operations
- Transactions and sustainable finance
Alongside the Sustainability Consulting team, AFRY’s environmental and health & safety experts will continue to support clients in various technical consulting and engineering assignments across the infrastructure, industries, and energy sectors.

Helena Mueller has 25+ years of experience from the banking and finance industry and has been senior advisor to the financial, energy, infrastructure, retail, transportation and tech sector in their transition into low-carbon and sustainable business models.
Tiina Kähö has 25+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental business, and innovation. Tina Kähö has been working 15+ years in consulting and heading the environmental business functions, by supporting global clients with sustainability advice and strategic environmental & climate consulting within energy, bioindustry, mining & metals, chemicals & biorefining, transportation, water, and infrastructure sectors.
