AFRY signs framework agreement with Ellevio for technical consulting services in electricity network operations
AFRY has signed a framework agreement with Ellevio AB concerning technical consulting services in electricity network operations. It covers a broad range of technical competencies related to the development, operation and maintenance of Ellevio’s electricity network.
The framework agreement includes, among other things, consulting services in local and regional electricity networks, documentation services, inspections, forestry and land rights, as well as operation and maintenance. Assignments will be called off on an ongoing basis through renewed competition during the term of the agreement. The agreement entered into force on 1 April 2026 and runs for four years, with an option to extend for a further 2+2 years.
“With AFRY’s expertise and long experience in electricity network operations, we gain access to a broad range of technical expertise that strengthens our ability to develop and maintain a robust and future-proof electricity network,” said Deepak Kamboj, Senior Category Manager, Consulting, Ellevio.
Ellevio is undertaking significant investments to strengthen and modernize its electricity networks. AFRY’s assignment contributes to enabling the energy transition by increasing capacity, improving security of supply, and supporting the sustainable development of critical infrastructure.
“We are proud of the trust placed in us to support Ellevio’s long-term development of its electricity network operations. With our combined technical expertise, we can contribute to a robust, future-proof and sustainable electricity system that meets society’s growing demand for electrification,” said Fredrik Persson, Head of Segment Transmission & Distribution, AFRY.
The total estimated value amounts to up to SEK 2 billion and refers to all suppliers within the framework agreement. AFRY has been awarded assignments across all competence areas, which are procured through ongoing competitive call-off processes and do not entail any guaranteed volumes. The total value for AFRY depends on which services are called off.
