AFRY to acquire Reta Engenharia, a Brazilian industry leader in project and construction management services
AFRY has entered into an agreement to acquire Reta Engenharia (Reta), a Brazilian provider of comprehensive project and construction management services, with a leading foothold in the mining and metals sector. With more than 200 employees, Reta brings strong local expertise that will further strengthen AFRY’s capabilities within core industrial sectors in the Americas.
Reta has established itself as a leading provider of high value-added services, with recognized expertise in project management and controls during early development phases, as well as in construction management and site supervision. The company operates across multiple industries in Brazil and manages a robust portfolio of capital investment projects as well as local operational services.
Reta’s strong local presence and core competencies will enhance AFRY’s existing operations which includes over 1,200 employees in Brazil, unlocking new growth opportunities across the Americas. As mining and metals are essential to meeting the increasing demand for materials critical to industrial transformation, this acquisition further reinforces AFRY’s role in advancing the global energy and industrial transition.
“This is a strategic step for AFRY as we expand our footprint in the Americas. Brazil plays a vital role in sustainable industrial development, and Reta’s capabilities will strengthen our position from the early stages of client projects. Combining their niche expertise with AFRY’s global platform creates a strong foundation for future growth in the region”, says Nicholas Oksanen, EVP and Head of Global Division Industry at AFRY.
“Joining AFRY defines a new and important chapter in the history of Reta Engenharia. We share a strong vision of technical excellence, sustainable development, and the promotion of shared value for clients and employees. This milestone strengthens our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions, expands professional growth opportunities for our team, and reinforces our commitment to transforming knowledge into a lasting legacy for society”, Marcus Cassini, CEO, Reta Engenharia.
Reta’s net sales in 2024 amounted to approximately SEK 135 million. The acquisition is subject to operational closing conditions and is expected to close during Q3 2025.
