ContourGlobal selects AFRY for rehabilitation of Italian solar portfolio
ContourGlobal has entrusted AFRY with providing owner’s engineering services for the revamping and repowering of 35 photovoltaic (PV) plants located throughout Italy.
ContourGlobal, an Independent Power Producer with international operations in 18 countries, has embarked on an extensive project to rehabilitate and enhance the efficiency and output of 35 PV plants of its Italian solar portfolio. The solar PV plants being modernised represent roughly half of the company’s portfolio in the country and are situated in nine different regions, with a total installed capacity of 60MW.
Given AFRY's vast experience in the solar industry and in-depth knowledge of the local market, ContourGlobal selected AFRY as its Owner's Engineer. AFRY's role will encompass a comprehensive range of services that include review of project plans and permits, detailed examination of project documentation and necessary authorisations, site visits and inspections of materials, monitoring and supervision of the construction process and final checks and supervision during the commissioning phase.
