AGA AND SANDVIK STEEL EXTEND COOPERATION IN SWEDEN AGA and Sandvik Steel AB have signed a new long-term supply agreement. In order to meet Sandvik's rising demand for industrial gases AGA is investing in new production and distribution equipment in Sandviken. Deliveries will be made primarily via pipelines, which will dramatically decrease the need for road transports and contribute to a substantial environmental improvement. "AGA offered the most competitive solution for our total gas needs", says Olle Wijk, Division General Manager at Sandvik Steel. "They can guarantee excellent availability of air gases and their know-how helps us to optimize and improve our production resources." "The agreement is a good example of how we work with our customers to develop gas-based process solutions which enhance production efficiency and reduce negative impact on the environment", comments Svante Frid, Regional Manager Business Area Process Industry. Sandvik Steel is a company within the Sandvik Group and one of the world's leading producers of tube, strip, wire and bar made of stainless steels and special alloys.
