The District Court's decision: AGN Haga's reconstruction continues

At a hearing at the District Court of Gothenburg on Monday the 19th of June 2023, the Court has decided that the reconstruction of AGN HAGA AB shall continue.

At today’s hearing the Administrator, Magnus Wiktorson, presented a preliminary plan for the reconstruction of AGN HAGA, which until January 2023 was the consortium responsible for the construction of two sections of the Västlänken Project in Gothenburg, the E03 Kvarnberget, and the E04 HAGA.

The client, Trafikverket, chose to terminate the contract on E04 in January 2023, and for this reason, AGN HAGA had to file an application for reconstruction to the District Court, which was approved on the 22nd of May 2023.

The purpose of the reconstruction is to be able to complete the remaining section E03, to reach a robust financial plan for the creditors and to gain more time for dialogue with Trafikverket,

With today's decision in the District Court, AGN Haga will continue the work and completion of project E03 (Kvarnberget) and at the same time, in cooperation with the creditors, Trafikverket and other stakeholders, continue the work to find a sustainable solution for E04 (Haga) as well.

– We of course welcome the District Court's decision today. From AGN's side, we believe that this was the best solution for everyone involved and it is the best and fastest way to complete E03 in the interest of the client, Trafikverket, and of Gothenburg city. says Sigurd Nissen-Petersen, Press Manager at AGN HAGA.

This first decision regarding the reconstruction is valid for three months.
