The world's leading show jumping rider has become Agria's first international profile rider. The world number one, who won team gold with Sweden at the Toyko Olympics, now enters into a long-term collaboration with Agria. "It feels fantastic to collaborate with Henrik von Eckermann, who demonstrates time and again the basic philosophy for a successful equestrian career with healthy and sustainable horses," says Agnes Fabricius, CEO of Agria.

Through the collaboration with Henrik von Eckermann, Agria hopes to encourage and increase equestrian knowledge among riders at all levels in Europe. As a profile rider, Henrik will support Agria in various capacities across the five Agria countries that offer horse insurance.

“I think there is great interest in Sweden and internationally about Henrik’s path to success, from his first lessons at a Swedish riding school to becoming world number one. Now we have the opportunity to share his equestrian philosophy,” says Agnes Fabricius, CEO of Agria.

“Agria has been involved in the horse world for as long as I can remember,” says Henrik. “Their commitment and ability as an insurance company to promote better horse health and horse handling is unusual. I have looked at how they have collaborated with other top riders, invested in horse research but also discussed injury prevention measures – this is something that I would like to be part of,” he adds.

Henrik is happy to be able to pass on his expertise which hopefully will help other riders, and above all, horses.

“I have tried to summarise what I have learned over the years about producing happy horses in a basic, three-pillar philosophy – based around sensitivity, individual adaptation and an ongoing quest for knowledge. Hopefully there is something in these that can be useful to others,” says Henrik.

Working with Henrik, Agria hopes to increase knowledge to help prevent and avoid lameness and colic, the two most common conditions that afflict many horses.

“Healthy and durable horses are a prerequisite for successful competition riders, and for riders at all levels. Preventative measures are crucial to avoid many types of lameness and colic attacks, and are founded in good daily management and training methods,” says Henrik.

The collaboration between Agria and Henrik von Eckermann is set to continue until 2026.
