Join the first ever Agria Ride — a fun ride with purpose
The very first group Agria Ride is to take place on Sunday 24th September, combining superb riding with fund-raising for three brilliant charities.
The Agria Ride brings together riders across Europe to enjoy their horses with their friends in stunning countryside, making a charity donation for every participant. In the UK, these charities are Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), Redwings Horses Sanctuary and Retraining of Racehorses (ROR).
Places will be available for up to 50 riders to join the inaugural live Agria Ride hosted at Cholsey Farm Riding, near High Wycombe. Riders of any age may tackle one of two routes of some eight miles or fewer on their own horses, following a marked route that takes in bridleways and private land in the heart of the stunning Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are plenty of places to canter and breathtaking views.
Entry is £19 per person, £5 of which will be donated to charity and Agria will match this with a further £5 donation. Each rider will also receive a goody bag and complimentary professional photographs of themselves in action, plus tea and cake will be available to enjoy afterwards!
Agria sponsored, paralympic dressage rider, Natasha Baker whose career began with the RDA says: “There is nothing better than a great hack with good friends for both horse and riders’ wellbeing, especially at the spectacular Cholsey Farm, so what a brilliant way this is to raise funds for three important charities.”
Agria UK’s CEO, Vicki Wentworth, says: “We are thrilled to be joining the other Agria territories across Europe to raise money for some incredible equine charities. Agria is all about supporting horses and riders to be as happy and active as possible through the whole of their lives, and the Agria Ride embodies much of that. We have already demonstrated that do we more than just offer lifetime equine insurance with our research funding, event and rider sponsorship, sustainability focus and welfare projects, and this is just our latest rider benefit – celebrating the partnership between them and their horses.”
