In certain cases, regular bathing with a specialized shampoo, supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids, or dietary changes may be beneficial. In other cases, medications in the form of injections or tablets may be necessary. Immunotherapy, also known as hyposensitisation, is another treatment approach used in some cases.
Sometimes a combination of different treatment methods is required to effectively manage the symptoms. It is important to note that while most dogs respond positively to treatment attempts, there are rare instances where certain dogs may not experience complete relief from their allergies despite various interventions.
