Since cost and scarcity of IT resources are holding back finance process development projects, Aico has created an industry-leading SAP integration implementation process, saving enterprise companies time and IT resources, whilst ensuring the security of company data.

Finnish financial and accounting automation software company Aico Group Oy has accelerated its integration implementation for enterprise companies that use SAP middleware.

Aico software platform manages and automates the entire record-to-report process for financial professionals, providing best-in-class live integration to SAP.

Shivam Dosa, Aico’s Head of Delivery explains, “The cost and scarcity of IT resources are holding back finance transformation projects. Our accelerated SAP integration solutions are our response to this challenge. It helps our customers integrate Aico via SAP middleware safely, quickly and with minimal IT effort.”

PI/PO and Integration Suite are SAP's middleware solutions that integrates cloud and on-premise applications directly with third-party SAP and non-SAP products, like Aico. Aico’s new solutions have been tailor-made for optimising SAP integrations. The initial phase of the integration project can now be implemented with an 85% reduction in workload.

Sampo Laakkonen, Aico’s SAP Development Lead, credits this efficiency gain in part to the accuracy of Aico’s integration processes.

“In our integration projects, we've noticed that our customers often allocate a substantial portion of their IT resources to integration error correction. To address this issue, we've proactively pre-built all the necessary mappings and iFlow work, leading to a remarkable 65% reduction in errors during integration testing.”

With these SAP integration processes, IT teams can integrate Aico with their SAP in just three days, if they use SAP middleware. So now Aico can offer best-in-class integration of SAP and S/4HANA with Aico significantly faster, with fewer errors and a reduced requirement for painstaking and costly specialist work.

Aico integration streams live data from SAP, rather than downloading files. Shivam continues, “For us, best-in-class means we offer something no one else can. When a company uses Aico, they get access to SAP data on-demand. We don’t download files once or twice a day for people to work from. They use real-time data, which means they can work proactively with the best, most accurate data. We wanted to bring this efficiency right into the start of the implementation process.”

Apart from enhanced project speed and accuracy, Shivam explains the focus of the entire integration project can change to benefit the customer, “This allows us to make this a finance project rather than an IT project. We can focus on what our customer’s needs are – the fast and easy improvement of financial processes – instead of getting pulled into IT discussions.”

Aico’s Integration Solutions are available to all new and upgrading customers using SAP and S/4HANA.
